Swim England Level 1 Open Water Award

This Level 1 workshop will help you achieve your Swim England Level 1 certificate in Open Water Swimming and provide you with the skills to take to the water by yourself.

This is aimed at all with an interest in open water be that competition or swimming for enjoyment.

The whole workshop takes 1.5 hours and be a mix of dry side and in water.

This session will cover
Pre Water Briefing
Discussion on best ways to get your wetsuit on
Safe Entry / Exit of the water
Acclimatisation methods and breathing control
What to do in an emergency / if things go wrong
Basic Sighting Action for front crawl swimmers
Group Swimming & Drafting
Introduction to common start & finish techniques
400m Swim
